DESCRIPTION
We designed this masterclass for anyone who has an interest in wine. Fancy knowing more about what you drink? Are you comfortable with ordering a Californian or Australian wine but can't really make sense of French wine? You know the grape varieties you like but would like to learn more about the French regions where it is planted? You have booked your trip to France and feel that learning about French wine would be useful– maybe just for the sake of being able to order the wines at a restaurant? Then this tasting is the one for you. The masterclass starts at 5pm in our 17th century wine cellar just nearby Le Louvre. You will taste six different wines from 6 different wine regions in France. From Champagne to Bordeaux, from the Loire to Rhone Valley… just sit back and enjoy the Tour de France of wine – O Chateau style! With a unique and refreshing approach, our sommelier will take you through a variety of themes to build up your wine knowledge. Our masterclass is both informative and fun. In just two hours, you will taste some excellent French wines whilst learning a lot about Wine in France. They will teach you how Champagne is made, how to taste a wine and how to read a French wine label. You will also be taken through the main wine regions of France – the grapes they grow, the style of wine they make, clarify concepts of terroir or appellation for example. Then at 7pm or so, we'll let you go – vaguely tipsy maybe - for the rest of your Parisian evening! All the wines you will tasted during the masterclass are available to buy (plus many more too!) Just ask your sommelier. Health and Bon appetit!
